Marjanovic: Presentation of Material Evidence

The Defence of indictee Zoran Marjanovic presented material evidence at this hearing, because witnesses, who were invited to testify, could not come due to the bad weather.Zorana Carkic, Defence attorney of the indictee, presented the Trial Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina with a certificate, saying that Slavko Marjanovic was member of the Municipal Board of the Serbian Democratic Party, SDS in Rogatica until August 11, 1993, when he was killed. An extract from the death registry for Slavko Marjanovic confirmed this too.Explaining the relevance of these pieces of evidence, Defence attorney Carkic said that those documents confirmed the function and responsibility that Slavko Marjanovic had in Babljak village.During previous hearings, witnesses said that Slavko Marjanovic stood watch together with the indictee and deployed guards in that village.State Prosecutor Dzevad Muratbegovic did not object to the material evidence presented by the Defence.Zoran Marjanovic, who was allegedly accompanied by a few other members of the Republika Srpska Army, VRS, is charged with having arrested married couple Bajic and their four minor children in Marina Homora, Rogatica municipality on June 19, 1992.According to the charges, the family was then taken to Borike. Unknown VRS soldiers took the mother and children to Rogatica and detained them in Veljko Vlahovic school building, while the father was taken in unknown direction. He has been missing since.The trial is due to continue on February 29 this year.
