In this episode of Detektor TV we’ll be telling the story of families who, more than three decades after the war, are suffering enormous pain yet again – learning that their loved ones may have been misidentified. Unintentional mistakes made after the war left thousands of human remains incorrectly identified, and many mothers, sisters, fathers and children have been told that “the person you buried is not a member of your family”. Because of all this, there are fears that some individuals may never be identified.
