Andabak, a former member of the Croatian Defense Council, has been charged with commanding an operation in the village of Grborezi in the municipality of Livno on July 21, 1993. Members of the military police of the Second Light Assault Battalion of the Croatian Defense Council killed one person and wounded another by opening fire at them, in Andabak’s presence.

Members of the Second Light Assault Battalion then allegedly wounded another person, whom Andabak killed by firing a bullet in his head.

A decision to appoint Andabak to the position of assistant chief of military police was issued by the Croatian Community of Herceg-Bosna on June 28, 1993 was
presented at today’s hearing by the state prosecution. Several decisions and reports issued by institutions during the war were also included in the case file.

The defense objected to a series of documents presented by the prosecution, saying they were either inauthentic or irrelevant.

The prosecution intended to include minutes from an examination of Zdenko Andabak from when he was a suspect in the case, but the trial chamber said it could not do so now.

The next hearing will take place on November 11, when the prosecution will complete its presentation of material evidence.
