Djerahovic and Saric have been charged with participating in the physical abuse of Andjelko Bozic and his sons, Nedeljko and Veseljko Bozic, in the village of Bukovic, in Zenica, on June 16, 1992. Andjelko Bozic died due to his injuries, while his sons suffered severe bodily harm.
Saric is a former officer and Djerahovic a former member of the Bosnian Army.
At todays hearing, prosecutor Branislav Tomas presented an official note prepared by the security service center in Zenica on June 16, 1992, which indicated that a male corpse identified as Andjelko Bozic had been found.
The note also included reports describing the identification of the defendants by Nedeljko and Veseljko Bozic, as well as photo documentation made at the crime scene. The defense objected to this evidence.
The cantonal court of Zenica rejected the defenses objections, and confirmed that all of the evidence was permissible.
The defense teams said the defendants would testify in their own defense during the presentation of evidence. Djerahovic will invite four more witnesses to testify in his defense. Saric will invite three.
The trial will continue on June 24.
