Sladoje’s defense attorney said his client “had some problem” and was unable to attend.

Bogdanovic and Sladoje have been charged with abducting Bajro and Suad Besic from their house on June 13, 1992. The defendants allegedly took them to a garage and beat them. They were then transported to the Jewish cemetery, where the defendants allegedly used them as human shields. Suad Besic was killed as a result.

According to the charges, Bogdanovic and Sladoje were members of Serb military and police forces.

The trial chamber of the cantonal court in Sarajevo entered a note that the witnesses appeared in court and postponed the hearing until June 2.
