Djojic, a former member of the 102nd Brigade of the Croatian Defence Council, is charged with having raped a woman in the area of Odzak in July 1992.

“A few years ago my client had a severe accident. He is on medication…It should be determined whether he is capable of following the trial,” Ademovic said.

Judge and trial chamber chairman Darko Samardzic said Ademovic should submit his request in writing and get in touch with a court expert.

Because of this request, the court did not schedule a start date for Djojic’s trial.

At the beginning of the hearing, prosecutor Milanko Kajganic announced that he would examine four witnesses and present eight pieces of material evidence.

“As far as the witness who lives in Australia is concerned, he will testify via video link,” Kajganic said.

The trial chamber scheduled the next meeting in relation to this trial for March 6.
