The trial of Almaz Nezirovic, who is charged with war crimes against Serb civilians in the Derventa and Bosanski Brod area, has begun before the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The state prosecution has called for a prison sentence for former military police officer Mato Condric, whos been charged with rape and prisoner abuse in Bosanski Brod.
A statement by a witness who claimed that Mato Condric beat him was presented at the Condric trial. The witness, Marko Mitric, said Mato Condric mistreated him both physically and mentally during his detainment in Bosanski Brod.
The trial of Mato Condric will begin on February 18, as per a decision made at todays status conference held at the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Condric has been charged with rape and the abuse of civilians in Bosanski Brod during the Bosnian war.
Defense attorney Kenan Ademovic requested that his client, Jozo Djojic, be medically examined in order to assess whether he is fully aware of the charges laid against him.
