The Prosecution requested the Court to extend the measure, banning the indictees from meeting the witnesses, because those people lived on the territory of the same municipality.
The Defence teams did not object to extension of the measures.
“We do not object to extension of the measures, but no measures were ordered against my client during the course of the investigation. However, when the indictment was confirmed, the measures were ordered…” said Senad Dupovac, Defence attorney of the fifth indictee.
Indictees Enes Curic, Ibrahim Demirovic, Samir Kreso, Habib Copelj and Mehmed Kaminic are charged with having participated in the unlawful deprivation of liberty and detention of Croat civilians in the broader area of Mostar municipality from the end of June to the beginning of December 1993.
The State Prosecution alleges that Curic was member of the 49th Mountain Brigade of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, and Manager of a detention facility in the school building, as well as other detention facilities in Potoci, Demirovic was Commander of the 47thMountain Brigade of ABiH, Kreso was Chief of the Medical Section of the Military Unit with the Mountain Brigade, which was active in the Bijelo Polje area, while Copelj and Kaminic were ABiH members.
Demirovic is also charged, in his capacity as member of the 449th Eastern Herzegovina Brigade of ABiH, with having forced one person to have sexual intercourse with him in Potoci village in 1993.
A plea hearing is scheduled for January 28.
