Loncarevic and Makivic, former members of the Special Purposes Police Squad with the Safety Services Centre in Banja Luka, are charged with having killed a civilian on July 8, 1992.
The indictment alleges that Loncarevic and Makivic, who were accompanied by two other people, came to a restaurant in Gunduliceva Street in Banja Luka, whose owner was a Bosniak.
“They came close to the restaurant. Loncarevic then approached the owner from outside of the restaurant and began talking to him. After that the owner came out of the restaurant. Makivic told the staff and guests not to go away. The indictee and another uniformed person then went to an apartment, which was located above the restaurant. After having entered the apartment, they took the injured party into the bedroom, where they shot him to his nape by firing a bullet from a pistol through a pillow on his head,” the indictment alleges.
A plea hearing in the case against Loncarevic and Makivic is scheduled for December 8.
