The Bosnian Court appeals chamber, which is presided by Redzib Begic, decided to hear testimonies given in the first instance case.

The Prosecution and Defence also proposed new witnesses, but the judges will decide on these motions at a later date.

Savo Babic, former commander of the military police of the Bosnian Serb army in Bratunac was acquitted in December 2013 of failing to stop abuse of non-Serb prisoners in the Vuk Karadzic school.

Babic’s verdict was quashed in September and a retrial ordered.
