The Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina repealed a portion of the verdict in the Velibor Bogdanovic trial, specifically the section on the application of law. After this decision, the prosecution and the defense presented their appeals related to Bogdanovic’s sentencing at the appeals chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The retrial of Veselko and Ivo Raguz began with a reading of the indictment and the presentation of introductory statements by the state prosecution and the defense teams at the appellate chamber of the Bosnian state court. Veselko and Ivo Raguz have been accused of committing war crimes in the areas of Stolac and Capljina.

The Bosnian Court of Appeals acquitted former Bosnian Serb Army Commander Savo Babic of charges of illegal arrests, abuse, forced disappearance and murder of Bosniak civilians in Vuk Karadzic School in Bratunac in May 1992.

The retrial of Savo Babic, who is charged with crimes in Bratunac, will start on November 20.

Former soldiers Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic are accused of physically and mentally abusing Serb detainees in Bosnias northern Krajina region from 1994 to 1996.

The retrial of Mehura Selimovic, Adil Ruznic and Emir Mustafic, who are charged with crimes against the civilian population and prisoners of war in Krajina, is due to begin on February 12.
