Witness Dies Prior to Hearing
The trial of Goran Popovic, who is charged with crimes in Visegrad, has been postponed due to absence of a witness.

Data available to the State Prosecution suggest that the witness, who was due to testify at this hearing, died right before the hearing.
The Prosecution will provide the Court with a death certificate for this witness at the next hearing. After that the witness’ statement will be read.
The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, charges Goran Popovic, former guard in “Uzamnica” detention camp, with having participated in the abuse, beating and torture, as well as sexual abuse of men and women.
The trial is due to continue on September 10.
