The trial of Ibrahim Ceco, who is charged with crimes against Serb civilians in Dobrinja neighbourhood, Sarajevo, has been postponed until further notice again due to the indictee’s illness.

Jasmina Begic, Chairwoman of the Trial Chamber with the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo, said that the Clinic told the Court that the indictee was discharged from the hospital on June 10 after having recovered.

“He was admitted at the hospital again on June 24, so the trial is hereby postponed until further notice,” Begic said.

The trial was postponed until further notice due to the indictee’s illness on June 5, when it was said that Ceco had been admitted to hospital on May 14.

The indictment charges Ceco, former member of the Army of BiH, with the physical abuse of Serb civilians in Dobrinja neighbourhood.

The Supreme Court of the Federation of BiH quashed the verdict under which Ibrahim Ceco was sentenced to two years in prison for crimes committed in Dobrinja, Sarajevo, and returned the case to the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo for retrial.
