Those were undisputable pieces of evidence, including lists of detainees issued by the Prison Section of the Serb municipality of Vogosca in the period from July to the end of September 1992, as well as Prison Manager’s bulletins covering the mentioned period. Most of the lists and bulletins, which referred to the events that happened in the prison, were signed by Branko Vlaco, while his Deputy Nebojsa Spiric sometimes signed them on his behalf.

Other pieces of evidence introduced by the Prosecution included a list of policemen with the Public Safety Station in Centar municipality in 1992, official documents issued by the wartime committee of the Serb municipality of Vogosca and an order issued by that body regarding the release of one Muslim and his exchange for a Serb person.

It also presented evidence about taking detainees to Zuc Hill in order to perform forced labour and be used as human shields, as well as a guard’s statement concerning the funeral of two detainees.

The Prosecution announced that it would speak about the content of those pieces of evidence in its closing statement.

Branko Vlaco, former Manager of “Bunker”, “Planjina Kuca”, “Kod Sonje” and “Nakina Garaza” detention camps, is charged with having established a system for punishment of detained civilians. According to the charges, detainees were abused, forced to perform hard labour and used as human shields. Many of them were killed at those locations, while tens are still considered missing.

The trial is due to continue on March 5, when the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue presenting its material evidence.
