The cantonal court in Bihac found Mujagic guilty on Tuesday of taking two members of the Bosnian Army Fifth Corps prisoner, shooting one of them dead and abusing the other in Kumarica near the north-western town of Velika Kladusa on March 6, 1995.

Mujagic is a former member of the People’s Defence of the self-declared Autonomous Province of Western Bosnia, a renegade statelet which existed in 1994 and 1994 and was controlled by former Bosnian presidency member Fikret Abdic.

While leading the statelet, Abdic fought against fellow Bosniaks who were loyal to the Sarajevo government. He was jailed 15 years for war crimes by Croatia in 2005 and given early release in 2012.

The time that Mujagic has spent in custody since November 28, 2012, when he was arrested in the United States, will be counted towards his verdict.

The verdict can be appealed.
