Witness Marijan Vidakovic said that he was captured on Mount Majevica at the beginning of May 1992 and transported to Lopare. He was then transferred to a detention camp in Ugljevik, where he was “beaten and mistreated constantly”.

After that he was transported from Ugljevik to Batkovic detention camp, where he was held until an exchange.

“When they brought us to Batkovic, two lines of about twenty soldiers waited for us at the entrance. We had to walk between them. While we were walking between the soldiers, they hit us with all kinds of objects…With their fists, legs, rifle butts…With whatever they had. However, nobody even touched us again after that,” Vidakovic said.

The District Prosecution in Bijeljina charges Djoko Pajic, Petar Dimitrovic, Djordje Krstic and Ljubomir Misic with crimes committed in Batkovic detention camp. The indictment alleges that they beat and mistreated detainees, including civilians, the wounded and prisoners of war, in Batkovic during 1992 and 1993.

Witness Vidakovic was not able to recognise any of the indictees in the courtroom. Also, he could not associate them with the events in the detention camp.
