A Prosecution witness, whose identity was protected with the pseudonym RM-015, testified before the Trial Chamber.

Closed sessions represent the highest level of protection of witness’ identity at trials held before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia.

During the last part of the presentation of evidence against General Mladic prosecutors present evidence related to the allegations that VRS committed genocide against about 7,000 Muslims from Srebrenica in the days that followed the occupation of the enclave by VRS on July 11, 1995.

The Prosecution previously announced that the presentation of evidence against Mladic should be completed by mid-November.

The trial of Mladic, who is also charged with terrorising the local population in Sarajevo and taking UN “blue helmets” hostage, is due to continue on September 26.
