Family members of the killed persons, as well as local residents from Duljci and the surrounding area, recalled the murder of their family members, pointing out that those who ordered the crimes had still not been processed.

According to what survivors say, the crime in Duljic was committed on September 23, 1993, when masked soldiers shot at a group of Bosniaks, who performed “forced” labour in an orchard. After having killed those people, the masked soldiers went from one house to another and killed the local residents. 12-year old Aldina Vojic was the youngest victim.

“They piled the bodies of the killed civilians and set them on fire. Several remains were found in 2000. Not all of the remains have still been found. We keep asking why the elderly, women and children, who were not guilty of anything, could be killed by their neighbours,” said Haris Mesic, member of the Orasac Local Community Board.

Fatima Vojic lost her husband Hamza, who was disabled, in Duljci. His body has still not been found.
“We have not found him yet. He was killed in the house,” Vojic said.

Munira Dizdarevic, who is still searching for her mother’s body, said that eyewitnesses told her that they “intruded into my mother’s house and killed her and our cousin, who was visiting us at the time.”

The Bihac Court sentenced five persons to a total of 57 years in prison for the crime in Duljci. However, families of the victims are dissatisfied with the fact that those who ordered the crime have still not been processed.
