The indictment charges Martic, who was allegedly accompanied by another HVO soldier, with having escorted a group of about ten captured members of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina from a school building in Perkovici, Zepce, to HVO’s military positions, where they were supposed to arrange the military lines, on July 9, 1993. According to the charges, Martic forced them to crawl through mud, water and thorns, while hitting and insulting them.
The indictment further alleges that the captives were shot at when they arrived to the military positions. After that they laid on the ground and crawled back.
It is further alleged that Martic took an automatic gun with an extension for firing grenades, ordered them to stand up and began shooting at them, wounding two of the captives. He did not allow anybody to help them, threatening that he would fire a grenade. Another HVO soldier then came and helped them by driving them to an ambulance in Perkovici.
The indictment alleges that, on an unknown date in July 1993 Martic met a Bosniak civilian, who had been captured, in Ljeskovice village, Zepce. He began examining and beating him by strongly hitting him with a rifle butt on his testicles, causing injuries due to which he had to receive medical assistance in the ambulance in Zepce.
