Peace activists have installed plaques at sites where people were killed or imprisoned during the 1992-95 Bosnian war in the Zenica, Doboj and Zepce areas.
Appeals against the verdict in the Mato Martic case were presented before the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Martic was sentenced to one year and eight months in prison for crimes committed in the Zepce area.
The retrial of Franjo Pravdic, charged with war crimes in Zepce, has been completed. The cantonal court of Zenica will hand down a new verdict in the case on November 11.
A defense witness was examined at today’s hearing of the retrial of Franjo Pravdic at the cantonal court of Zenica. The witness was examined on Pravdic’s appearance at the time of his alleged crimes in Zepce, and the physical similarities between the defendant and his uncle, Stipe Pravdic.
The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has reduced the sentence against Perica Adzic by a year and four months. He has now been sentenced to two years and eight months in prison.
The Supreme Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina repealed the verdict against Franjo Pravdic, who was sentenced to 11 years in prison for war crimes in Zepce. The case was returned to the cantonal court of Zenica for a retrial.
