The former member of the First Posavina Infantry Brigade with the Republika Srpska Army is charged with having tortured civilians in Luka detention camp and treated them in an inhumane manner.
 
It is alleged that on May 10, 1992, the indictee punched a civilian being held in Luka in the face and head while wearing “brass knuckles”.
 
The announcement by the Brcko District Prosecution indicates that this case was labeled “A” at the ICTY in The Hague. It further says that the case was referred to the Basic Court by the Prosecution of Tuzla Canton.
 
The indictee has lived in Serbia for a long time.
 
The indictment was filed on April 24. A plea hearing will be scheduled at a later stage.
