Trial Chamber Chairman Davorin Jukic said that witness Lazar Stanisic informed the State Court that he would not be able to testify due to health reasons, adding that the Chamber then decided not to invite him again.

Considering the fact that he was the last witness invited to testify, the Trial Chamber said that the presentation of evidence was completed. After that, the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina presented a revised indictment.

As said by Prosecutor Mirko Lecic, only “one incriminating action charged upon indictee Hrustic” has been removed from one sub-count of the indictment.

As the Defence of the two indictees did not object to the revised indictment, the Trial Chamber set the dates for the presentation of closing statements.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina is due to present its closing statement on September 5, while the Defence teams will do the same seven days later.

The State Prosecution charges Mujcinovic and Hrustic, former members of the 21st Srebrenik Mountain Brigade of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina, ABiH, with having treated Serb civilians, who were held in the Youth Centre in Rapatnica, near Srebrenik in the summer of 1992, in an inhumane manner.

The indictment alleges that Mujcinovic physically and mentally abused a prisoner on several occasions and participated, along with Hrustic, in the abuse of another prisoner several times.

Following the completion of the evidence presentation, the Trial Chamber abolished the prohibiting measures previously ordered against the two indictees. D.Dz.
