Local Justice – Mostar: Trial of Jakovljevic Postponed

The trial of Ivan Jakovljevic, who is charged, before the Cantonal Court in Mostar, for crimes in the Prozor/Rama area, has been postponed until September 18, as a Prosecution witness fails to appear.

Trial Chamber Chairman Slavko Pavlovic said that summons was sent to witness Ivica Zutic to his addresses in Sarajevo and Prozor/Rama.

“We shall resend the summons to the witness. In case he fails to respond, he will be forcibly apprehended,” Pavlovic said.

The Cantonal Prosecution in Mostar charges Jakovljevic with having committed murder and the inhumane treatment of a detained civilian in Zahum village and at Zvirnjaca, Prozor/Rama municipality.

According to the charges, he was a member of the Rama Brigade with the Croatian Defence Council, HVO.
