The District Prosecution in Eastern Sarajevo suspects Markovic of having raped two females in a village in the vicinity of Visegrad.

We were told by the District Court in Eastern Sarajevo that Markovic was first ordered into custody on March 17 this year, but, five days later the Pre-trial Chamber of that Court rendered a decision, ordering a preliminary hearing judge to reconsider the District Prosecution’s custody order motion.

At a hearing held on March 27 this year the District Prosecution of Eastern Sarajevo requested the Court to order Mladen Markovic into custody, while the Defence objected to the proposal. A.S.
