The two suspects, who were not named by police, were arrested on suspicion that they committed war crimes against the civilian population in the Luka detention camp in Brcko in the period from 1992 to 1995.

The Brcko District Prosecution suspects that they tortured, treated in an inhumane manner and caused severe suffering and injuries to Bosniak civilians.

Following the arrest, the two suspects were escorted to the Brcko District Prosecution, where they were questioned. After that, a motion was filed with the Basic Court of Brcko District, requesting it to order prohibiting measures against them.

The Prosecution of Brcko District requested the prohibiting measures to ensure the suspects’ availability during the course of the criminal proceedings. The proposed measures include a ban on leaving their places of residence or travelling outside of Bosnia and Herzegovina, confiscation of their travel documents and an obligation to report to the Brcko District police every seven days.
