Local Justice – Dizdarevic Pleads Not Guilty

Zudija Dizdarevic has appeared before the Cantonal Court in Bihac, where he pleaded not guilty to charges that he committed war crimes in 1995.

Dizadrevic is charged with having committed war crimes against the sick and wounded during the course of the conflict between the Fifth Corps of the Army of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the National Defence of the Western Bosnia Autonomous Region, ND WBAR.According to the charges, Dizdarevic, former member of the First Battalion with the Second Brigade of ND WBAR, found a wounded member of the Fifth Corps while “searching the terrain” in Kumarica area, Velika Kladusa on March 6, 1995, and “fired several bullets” at him, which lead to the person’s death.The Una-Sana Cantonal Prosecution alleges that the indictee found and killed another member of the Fifth Corps in the same area on March 7, 1995.Indictee Dizdarevic is defending himself while at liberty.
