The cantonal court in Bihac has acquitted former Bosniak fighter Hasan Icanovic of crimes against prisoners of war in the northern Velika Kladusa municipality.
Testifying in his own defense, Hasan Icanovic said he handed Latica Glavica captives to the military police and heard that they had been killed while being interrogated.
Two defense witnesses testifying at the trial of Hasan Icanovic said the defendant visited the murder scene of two prisoners of war but didn’t participate in their killing.
A witness testifying at the Hasan Icanovic trial described the capture of members of the National Defense of the Western Bosnia Autonomous Region (NDWBAR) and the murder of NDWBAR squad commander Huso Kujundzic. The witness said an unknown perpetrator killed Kujundzic.

After todays status conference, the Cantonal Court in Bihac has decided not to set a start date for the Hasan Icanovic trial, as the defendant is undergoing medical treatment.
