The Hague Prosecutions military expert Richard Butler says at Ratko Mladics trial that the mass murder of captives from Srebrenica, which was committed by members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska in Kravica village, near Bratunac in July 1995, was ordered.

They may have been among the worst criminals of the Bosnian war - but the logistical problems in proving snipers responsibility for peoples deaths mean that not one has been convicted.

Following the completion of the Hague prosecutions opening statements, the presiding judge, Alphons Orie, announced that the start of the presentation of evidence at the trial of Ratko Mladic, originally scheduled for May 29, has been suspended until further notice.

On the second day of its opening arguments, the Hague prosecution said it would prove that Ratko Mladic was on the ground and personally involved in the Srebrenica genocide in July 1995.

In its opening arguments, the Hague prosecution outlined six strategic goals that Bosnian Serb leadership wanted Mladic to achieve.

The Defence of Ratko Mladic requests the Trial Chamber of The Hague Tribunal to postpone the beginning of the trial for 90 days. The Trial Chamber will render its decision at a later stage.
