The district prosecution of Eastern Sarajevo called for custody measures be imposed on Blagoje Vlacic due to threats sent to a witness. The defense objected to the proposal.

The District Court in Eastern Sarajevo postponed the trial of Zarije Ostojic, who has been charged with war crimes in Susica near Vlasenica. The trial was postponed because the defendant failed to appear in court.

Six Bosnian Serbs convicted of the genocide of Bosniaks from Srebrenica in 1995 are appealing against their 20-year prison sentences, arguing that they are too harsh.

After having spent ten years in courtrooms, some of the war-crimes indictees are still awaiting second instance verdicts to be pronounced. Although everything is carried out according to the law, legal experts say that the fact that those trials have still not been completed can not be justified.

The Defence of five indictees, who were released after the verdicts against them for assisting in the Srebrenica genocide was quashed, request the Court to reduce their sentence to between five and 15 years, while the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina requests maximal imprisonment sentences.

In the fourth year of the trial of Zarije Ostojic, who is charged with crimes in Susica detention camp in Vlasenica, the Defence and Prosecution announce that they will inform the Court about the whereabouts of the remaining witnesses.

The State Prosecution presents, before the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, its appeal against a verdict under which Slobodan Grujic was acquitted of charges for crimes in Zvornik on February 14, 2013.

With evidentiary proceedings complete in the trial of Slobodan Grujic, the court has scheduled the parties closing arguments for January 18.

The Defence of Zarije Ostojic, who is charged with crimes committed in Vlasenica, is due to submit a written motion to the District Court in Eastern Sarajevo, explaining protection measures for one of ICTY convicts, who is supposed to testify in defence of the indictee.
