The verdict against three indictees, who are charged with crimes in Bugojno, is due be pronounced on October 26 - the Trial Chamber decided following the presentation of closing statements at the trial that has lasted three-and-a-half years.

During the trial for crimes in Bugojno the Defence of Nisvet Gasal and Musajb Kukavica say that the Prosecution has not proved the indictees' responsibility for the detention and torture of prisoners in the "Iskra" stadium detention camp.

Presenting its closing statement, the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina calls on the Court to pronounce Nisvet Gasal, Musajb Kukavica and Senad Dautovic guilty and sentence them for crimes against Croats in Bugojno.

After a revised indictment was presented and all proposals for additional Prosecution and Defence evidence declined, the presentation of evidence at the trial of three indictees, who are charged with crimes against the Croat population in Bugojno, was completed.

Remains that are believed to belong to Marko Bartulovic, a Croat detainee who was killed in 1993, have been found in the Bugojno area.

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has sentenced Enes Handzic to eight years' imprisonment for crimes against civilians committed in the Bugojno area, after a plea deal was reached.
