Testifying her husbands defense, Martin Barukcics wife claimed he was on the island of Vir in Croatia in June 1992, the period when he allegedly raped a civilian in the Odzak area.

Friends and family members testifying in defense of Martin Barukcic described him as good, decent and non-violent. His aunt and uncle said Barukcic was in Croatia during the time period covered in the indictment.

The Bosnian state court has asked the defense of Martin Barukcic to reduce a list of 100 witnesses it proposed for examination at a status conference.

During his cross-examination, Marijan Brnjic told the Bosnian state prosecution that he wasnt a member of the Croatian Defense Council in April and May 1992 - Brnjic claimed that the Croatian Defense Council didnt exist during that period.

Witness Ivo Brnjic claimed that his brother, Marijan Brnjic, was in Germany during the period covered in the indictment charging him with rape in Odzak.
