The Appeal Chamber of Bosnia's state court has extended former Bosnian Croatian military policeman Mato Baotic's sentence to 13 years for crimes committed in the Orasje area of northern Bosnia in 1992. The Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has sentenced former Bosnian Croat military policeman Mato Baotic to a single sentence of 13 years for committing war crimes in Orasje in 1992.

Former Croatian Defence Council fighter Mirko Juric was charged with participating in the persecution and killing of Serb civilians and the torture of prisoners of war in Orasje in 1992 and 1993. The Bosnian state court on Thursday confirmed the indictment of Mirko Juric, charging him with crimes against humanity and against prisoners of war in 1992 and 1993 in the Orasje area.

Two former Croatian Defence Council members were jailed in separate cases for raping women in the Orasje and Odzak areas during the war in 1992. The state court in Sarajevo on Friday sentenced former Croatian Defence Council military policeman Mato Baotic to ten years in prison for raping three women and mistreating a detainee in the Orasje area in 1992.
