Radovan Karadzic has asked the Hague Tribunal to reject the prosecutions appeal of a decision by which he was acquitted of genocide in seven Bosnian municipalities.

The trial of Bozidar Kuvelja, who is charged with genocide in Srebrenica, has been postponed again, because the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina has not been able to secure the presence of protected witness PW-100.

The Hague Tribunals President has rejected a motion filed by representatives of victims from seven Bosnian municipalities, who asked the Tribunal to appeal against the decision to acquit Radovan Karadzic of genocide charges committed in 1992 following the end of the Prosecutions evidence presentation.

At the trial of Bozidar Kuvelja, who is charged with genocide in Srebrenica, the Trial Chamber conditions the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina to enable the Defence to examine protected witness PW-100 or else a transcript of his testimony before the Hague Tribunal will not be admitted as evidence.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina requests the custody extension for Savo Zivkovic, who is suspected of crimes against humanity in the Bratunac area in 1992, due to the existence of a fear that he might influence witnesses and accomplices. The Defence requests the Court to release the suspect to liberty.

The presentation of evidence at the trial of Dragan Neskovic and Zoran Ilic, who are charged with crimes against humanity in Srebrenica in 1995, has been completed with the examination of the last Defence witness and presentation of evidence by the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina files a motion with the State Court, asking it to extend custody for Savo Zivkovic, who is suspected of crimes in Bratunac municipality, for 15 days.

According to the courts verdicts, members of the Bratunac Brigade of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) participated in the attack on Srebrenica in July 1995, as well as in capturing and bringing the men to the sites of mass executions.
