The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted an amended indictment against Djordjislav Askraba, who is indicted of crimes committed in Kalinovik, to the Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Testifying at the retrial of Djordjislav Askraba, a State Prosecution witness says that he was present in the “Barutni magacin” detention camp in Kalinovik in the summer of 1992, when some unknown soldiers took Bosniak detainees out, beat them up and took them in an unknown direction.

The Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina appoints a new Defence attorney for Djordjislav Askraba, who is charged with crimes in Kalinovik, after his previous attorney Ziko Krunic was released from duty at his own request.

The Appellate Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina revises a first instance verdict for crimes committed in Kalinovik, sentencing Ratko Bundalo and Nedjo Zeljaja to a total of 27 years in prison and ordering a retrial against Djordjislav Askraba.

The Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina asks the Appellate Chamber of the State Court to increase the sentence against Ratko Bundalo and Nedhi Zeljaja and sentence Djordjislav Askraba, who was previously acquitted of charges, for crimes committed in Kalinovik.

In its sixth year of operation, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Chamber for War Crimes sentenced 15 persons to a total of 156 years in prison, and acquitted seven, while the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina claims that they are also investigating one thousand suspects over war crimes offences.

The main trial for crimes committed in Kalinovik has been completed with the presentation of closing arguments by the Defence of indictee Djordjislav Askraba.
