Testifying on behalf of the cantonal prosecution of Sarajevo, four witnesses at the Dusko Dabetic trial were examined today in a closed hearing.

The state prosecution has charged Borislav Paravac, a former member of the Bosnian Serb presidency, and three other suspects for war crimes committed in Doboj and Teslic in 1992 and 1993.

The state prosecution has raised an indictment against former Bosnian Serb fighter Rajko Jankovic, accusing him of murdering a civilian in the Vogosca area, near Sarajevo.

A protected witness was examined in a closed hearing at the trial of Adil Vojic and Bekir Mesic, charged with wartime rape in the Bihac area. The witness, who was allegedly raped by the defendants, testified again today as per an invitation by the state court.

The trial of Dusko Dabetic was postponed after witnesses failed to appear at today’s hearing at the cantonal court of Sarajevo. Dabetic, a former Bosnian Serb fighter, has been charged with wartime rape in the Grbavica neighbourhood of Sarajevo.

Slobodan Karagic, the former head of a police unit in Doboj, is accused of involvement in the killings of at least 12 Bosniaks among other crimes allegedly committed during attacks in 1992.

Presenting its closing statement at the retrial of former Territorial Defense members Fikret Planincic, Sead Menzil and Mirsad Vatrac, the prosecution called for a guilty verdict. The prosecution insisted the trial chamber consider the death of civilians and girls while deliberating the sentence.

The state prosecution has filed an indictment against former Bosnian Serb police commander Milan Bogdanovic, charging him with crimes against humanity in the Srebrenica area in 1995.

The cantonal court of Sarajevo ordered another expert examination of Ibrahim Ceco’s mental health, after a court-ordered neuropsychiatrist found that Ceco was capable of standing trial.
22. December 2015.
Damir Lipovac, a former member of the Croatian Defense Council (HVO), signed a document admitting his guilt for war crimes in the Derventa area in 1992.
