Former Bosnian Army serviceman Dzevad Salcin was sentenced to two years in prison for cutting off part of a Serb prisoner of war’s ear on Mount Igman above Sarajevo in 1993.
After a trial that has lasted more than two years, the Bosnian state court will hand down a verdict in the case of Dzevad Salcin, a former member of the Bosnian Army charged with crimes on Mount Igman in the municipality of Hadzici. The verdict has been scheduled for January 21.
Testifying at the trial of Pero Radisic, a former Bosnian Serb Army soldier charged with war crimes in the Teslic area, a defense witness said the defendant was a rank and file soldier who never served as a commander.
The defense teams of three former Territorial Defense soldiers charged with war crimes in Kotor Varos have called upon the state court’s appeal chamber to hand down verdicts of release. The defense states their clients didn’t participate in an attack on civilians in the village of Serdari in 1992. The verdict is scheduled for February 4.
Testifying at the trial of five former members of the Bosnian Army charged with committing crimes in the Mostar area in 1993, a state prosecution witness said a protected witness known as B was taken out of a school building used as a detention facility several times and raped.
The Bosnian state court has postponed discussing a guilt admission agreement reached with Damir Lipovac, as consent by the injured parties in his case had not been obtained. The agreement refers to Derventa war crimes for which Lipovac plead guilty.

The Bosnian state court confirmed an indictment against four former members of the Bosnian Serb Army, who’ve been charged with crimes against humanity committed in Bileca in 1992.
The appeals chamber of the Bosnian state court increased the verdict in the Dragan Sekaric case from 14 to 17 years in prison. Sekaric was found guilty of committing crimes against humanity, including murder and rape, in Visegrad in 1992.
