Nijaz Talovic and Enes Tursunovic, former members of the Bosnian Army, have been charged with assaulting Prodanovic.

According to the charges, on September 15, 1992, Talovic and Tursunovic entered Prodanovic’s home in Zivinice. They were allegedly dressed in camouflage uniforms and armed with automatic guns. They allegedly cocked their guns and pointed them towards him, while threatening him.

It is further alleged that when the injured party ran away to the bathroom, the defendants fired several bullets at him, broke into the bathroom, knocked him down and beat him with a rifle butt all over his body, causing him light bodily injury.

The two other witnesses scheduled to testify at today’s hearing were the injured party’s brother and wife. They failed to appear at the hearing.

The trial is scheduled to continue on November 27.
