S-1 testified that she was detained on July 3, 1992 and taken to the Secondary School Centre in Foca, where she said that each night, younger girls and women were raped in the classroom, either in groups or individually.

She recalled a soldier named Dragan Zelenovic, who used to take her and two other females out of the school building.

She said that the first time, Zelenovic took them to an apartment in the Lepa Brena building in Foca, where they were met by some other soldiers, one of whom she knew by his nickname Lici.

“At first they began mocking, bullying and humiliating us. Zelenovic took S-4 away, while Miki Zivanovic and Lici raped me in that apartment,” the witness said.

“We stayed there for three or four hours before being taken back. I cried so much that blood began pouring from my nose. I tore my hair out during the nights and days that followed,” she added.

She told the court that some time later, she was taken, along with the two other females, to a house in the village of Donje Polje, near Foca.

She said that Lici took one of the women to the bathroom and raped her there.

Milomir Davidovic, also known as Lici, a former member of the Bosnian Serb Army, is charged with committing crimes against humanity in Foca.

The indictment alleges that, on an undetermined date between July 3 and 18, 1992, soldier Dragan Zelenovic took two women from the Secondary School Centre in Foca and escorted them to an apartment in the Lepa Brena building, where the defendant and other soldiers raped them.

According to the second count in the indictment, during the same time period, of time, three women were taken to an abandoned house in the village of Dobro Polje, where Davidovic and other soldiers sexually abused them.

Zelenovic pleaded guilty at the Hague Tribunal to raping and torturing a number of detained Bosniak women and girls in Foca in 1992 He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Davidovic’s trial will continue on April 4.
