With regards to war crimes, 59 indictments were filed against 135 individuals. Last year the state prosecution also had its best results in dealing with cases transferred from the Hague Tribunal for further processing in investigations.

“We proudly point to the fact that according to the determined standards, the state prosecution achieved a norm of 159.06, while the quality of work is 92 percent,” the state prosecution’s announcement reads.

The highest norm, 223.53, was reached by the state prosecution’s section for organized crimes, economic crimes and corruption.

“The results achieved will be a motivation for us to work even better in fighting war crimes, organized crime, corruption, terrorism and all other crimes that fall within our jurisdiction, in the interest of the rule of law and all the citizens of our country in 2016,” the state prosecution announcement reads.
