During a pretrial status conference, prosecutor Mirko Lecic said he would examine 11 witnesses, two court medical experts as well as present statements given by two deceased witnesses.

The state prosecution has charged Lipovac, a former member of the 103rd Brigade of the Croatian Defense Council, with having committed crimes against Serbs in the Derventa area in 1992.

He has also been charged with the assault, theft and torture of prisoners in a detention camp in Poljari in the municipality of Derventa. The state prosecution alleges that Lipovac was the commander of that detention camp.

In 2008, he was accused of killing two people. He was arrested in the Netherlands on May 8, 2014 and was extradited to Bosnia and Herzegovina in November 2015.
