Saric, the former commander of the Special Brigade of the Republika Srpska police force, has been charged with commanding police forces which participated in the search, disarmament and forcible resettlement of women, children and the elderly, as well as the separation of men and boys in July 1995. The men and boys were executed in the Srebrenica area later on.

At today’s hearing, the defense cross-examined Stupar and the prosecution included testimony given by Stupar to the Hague Tribunal in the case file.

The defense questioned Stupar about a meeting held on the premises of the Zvornicka Brigade on July 15, 1995, as well as subsequent combat activities in that area.

When asked by the defense whether he “was under Pandurevic’s command in those battles,” Stupar answered affirmatively.

“All police forces were under Pandurevic’s command in combat activities,” he said.

The date of the next hearing will be set at a later stage.
