The court announced thirty days of custody for the suspects in order to ensure that they don’t flee or interfere with the proceedings by influencing potential witnesses. The examination of witnesses was proposed by the Serbian war crimes prosecution.

The names of the suspects have not been made public, despite the court’s decision to impose custody measures.

Suspects N.M, A.G, M.B, A.D, B.M, J.P, D.P, and V.V., former members of the Jahorina Training Center with the Special Brigade of Republika Srpska police, were arrested on March 18. They are suspected of having committed war crimes against the civilian population in the Kravica area in the municipality of Bratunac, as co-perpetrators.

The Serbian war crimes prosecution said the victims were more than 1000 Bosniak civilians, whose remains were identified in mass graves at several locations, including Glogova 1, Glogova 2, and Ravnice.

The Serbian war crimes prosecution stated it was still searching for several other persons, presumed to be located in neighbouring countries.
