The court said Perisic and Zoranovic were ordered into custody due to the possibility that they might attempt to influence witnesses, potential accomplices, persons concealing the crime, or destroy and hide evidence.
“After having reviewed the material evidence provided to the court, the court has determined that there are grounds for suspicion that the suspects committed the crime they are charged with and ordered them into custody,” the court’s statement said.
The Bosnian state prosecution suspects Perisic and Zoranovic, both former members of the Rogaticka Brigade of the Bosnian Serb Army, of having committed crimes against the Bosniak population in Rogatica in the summer of 1992.
They were arrested on March 4.
