Defendants Ekrem Ibracevic, Faruk Smajlovic, and Sejdalija Covic are charged with the abuse and torture of Serb civilians in Rapatnica near Srebrenik from June-August 1992.

The defense team failed to inform the Bosnian state prosecution about which documents it would use while cross-examining today’s witness.

Emir Suljagic, Faruk Smajlovic’s defense attorney, asked that the trial be postponed, on the grounds that he didn’t have sufficient time to share all the documents he would use during the cross-examination with the prosecution.

Also, Ekrem Ibracevic’s defense attorney Sanjin Bandovic did not appear in court due to an illness. Bandovic should have been replaced by Suljagic.

The trial chamber decided to postpone the hearing in order not to conduct the direct examination and cross examination of today’s witness separately.

The trial continues on March 10.
