The trial of Lukic, who was originally charged along with Predrag and Nenad Bajic, Sinisa Babic, Slobodan Dragic and Mladen Vrtunic, with having participated in murders, rape and inhumane treatment of people in Humici, Vojici and Pudin Han villages, Kljuc municipality, in 1992 and 1993, has begun anew due to changes in the composition of the Trial Chamber and the passage of more than 30 days between two subsequent hearings.

Due to Lukic’s illness the case against him was previously separated from the case against the other indictees, whom the Cantonal Court pronounced guilty.

Following the reading of the indictment, the Cantonal Prosecutor announced that he would prove the allegations contained in the indictment, while the Defence pointed out that Lukic was not present in Kljuc, when the crimes were committed.

The trial is due to continue on February 19.
