Prosecutor Emir Neradin proposed to the Court of BiH to prohibit Tahirovic to travel, confiscate his identification documents and ban him from leaving his place of residence, except for when he went to methadone therapy, which he received, because he used to be a drug addict for many years.

The Defence requested the Court not to ban him from leaving his place of residence, because the indictee had to go to therapy every day. It proposed that he be ordered to report to police every day instead.

In addition, the Prosecution requested the Court to ban him from meeting his former comrades and witnesses.

Neradin said that the grounded suspicion arose from the confirmed indictment, under which  Tahirovic, former member of “Zulfikar” Special Squad with the Supreme Command Headquarters of the Army of BiH, was charged with having participated in the torture, abuse and pillaging of property of civilians and prisoners of war, who were unlawfully detained in “The Battle for the Wounded” Museum and at Rogica Houses locality in Jablanica.

Indictee Tahirovic said that he would like to be detained, because he had no money for an adequate life.

The Court will render a decision concerning the Prosecution’s proposal at a later stage.

Tahirovic is due to enter his plea on Thursday, December 18.
