At the trial for crimes in Kladanj the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, includes, as evidence, criminal reports against a few Serbs, who were detained in educational workers’ buildings in Stupari, Kladanj municipality, during 1992 and 1993.

One of the reports was filed against Velimir Celic from whom a machine gun was confiscated. The Prosecutor said that the weapon was confiscated in June 1992 but Celic was not examined about those circumstances until February 1993.

Safet Mujcinovic, Selman Busnov, Zijad Hamzic, Nusret Muhic, Ramiz Halilovic, Osman Gogic, Nedzad Hodzic and Kahro Vejzovic, former members of civil and military police, as well as the Territorial Defence, are on trial for having committed crimes in the Kladanj area.

They are charged with having unlawfully detained Serb civilians in the educational workers’ building in Stupari, as well as having beaten and treated them in an inhumane manner.

The Prosecutor included, in the case file, some documents with which he wanted to prove that Mujcinovic, Busnov, Muhic and Hamzic were “competent and educated members of police and military structures”.

The presentation of material evidence is due to continue at the next hearing scheduled for December 12.
