Defence attorney Aleksandar Lazarevic said that he was talking about a statement the witness gave to the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH, while being prepared for testifying at another trial for genocide in Srebrenica, which was completed in 2012.

The Defence attorney proposed that the witness be examined by Prosecutor Ibro Bulic only, but the Trial Chamber did not accept the proposal. The Prosecution of BiH and Defence will examine the witness at the next hearing scheduled for December 1.

Saric, a former Commander of the Special Police Brigade, is charged with having issued an order to his subordinates to capture Srebrenica residents, who walked through the woods in an attempt to reach the territory controlled by the Army of BiH, in July 1995.

The indictment alleges that the Srebrenica residents were executed after having been captured.
