The Prosecution said on Monday that Sekaric violated his prohibiting measures by travelling to Serbia and meeting potential witnesses and threatening protected witnesses S2 and S4 in Gorazde.

Sekaric, former member of the Territorial Defence and “Osvetnik” (“Avenger”) paramilitary formation, is charged with having participated in an attack on Lozje village, Gorazde municipality, as well as the murders, rape and physical abuse of non-Serb civilians in Visegrad.

He denied the charges.

The trial started on March this year after the Bosnian court ordered Sekaric not to leave the country or contact any witnesses from his case.

Sekaric’s trial continued on Monday with the testimony of one of the threatened Prosecution witnesses S4 in closed session.

Prosecutor Seid Marusic said that protected witness S4 asked that the public be totally removed from the courtroom during her testimony.

Sekaric has been detained until the Court decides whether to order custody and the trial will resume on October 13.
