Prosecutor Zorica Djurdjevic requested that the indictees’ travel documents be confiscated, that they be banned from crossing the state border and contacting Prosecution witnesses and ordered to report to a police station.

Djurdjevic said that indictee Ibracevic threatened one of the State Prosecution witnesses.

Ibracevic said that the Prosecutor’s allegation was “exaggerated”, commenting on the proposed measures by saying: “I have no intention to go anywhere. I shall stay here, loyally, until the end.”

The Defence attorneys of Smajlovic and Covic said that the proposed prohibiting measures were not necessary for ensuring the indictees’ presence at the trial.

The Court of BiH will render its decision at a later stage.

Ibracevic, Smjalovic and Covic are charged with having participated in the unlawful detention and torture of Serb civilians from Tinja, Potpec and Jasenica, as well as other villages in the Srebrenik area.

The indictment alleges that Ibracevic was Chief of the Military Security with the municipal headquarters of the Territorial Defence in Srebrenik, Smajlovic was Commander of a military police squad with the municipal headquarters of the Territorial Defence in Srebrenik, while Covic was a member of the military police.
